DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 40 Acts of Generosity Challenge. \nLet’s surprise people with GOD’S goodness this Lenten season! \nToday marks the beginning of the 40 days journey to the Cross. \nA journey that will encourage us to live the 40 acts way of generosity\, which might take us outside of our comfort zone.\nAre we ready to do this\, or is the temptation to snuggle under a duvet of complacency and ease too strong?\nIt’s a challenge\, that’s for sure. Yet\, I am reassured knowing that another is journeying alongside us. SUMMARY:Outreach programme for 25 April 2020 - Cancelled
DESCRIPTION:In light of the Coronavirus pandemic and the worldwide shutdown through quarantine\, self distancing and self isolation\, the ministry has postponed indefinitely our bi-annual outreach programme\, Even Women Fish Too holding on Saturday 25 April 2020. \nFrom the onset of the pandemic the ministry has provided palliatives for our members via the Rebirth COVID-19 Intervention Programme\, by way of a monetary grants for members to assist in their daily living over the period of lockdown. \nMembers in Nigeria\, Cameroon\, United Kingdom and the USA have already been beneficiaries of this programme. \nThe ministry carried out its monthly feeding programme in March 2020 and is preparing for the April edition. \nWe have also supported widow groups across Lagos State through cash grants to help them feed their families at this time. \nTo support and promote the use of face masks by indigenes of Lagos State\, we have through various NGO’s the ministry works with\, provided funding for free face mask distribution in the state. \nRebirth has assisted in carrying out the fumigation and sanitization of some cluster communities in Lagos State. \nThe ministry is working with Essential Service Workers and has provided them with funding for personal protective equipment (PPE) kits. \nThe ministry believes that sharing the love of CHRIST is a vital part of spiritual growth and what better way to show it than being your brother and sisters keeper?
