DAY TWO: Forty Days of prayer and/or fasting
Matthew 4 1-2
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the dessert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting for forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
1 Kings 19, 8-9
So he ( Elijah)got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he travelled for forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night.
Exodus 24:18
Then Moses entered the cloud as he went up on the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
- Ask God to reveal His heart for your street, pray over three houses on your street, ideally households where there are no Christians
- If you live with other Christians, pray together with other members of your family
PRAYER CHALLENGE:If you are able, could you fast a 24 hour fast today. Please do not do this fast if you are pregnant, diabetic, epileptic, on multiple medications or a doctor thinks it is unwise. Spend the time fasting, praying for your neighbours.
