I am testifying of God’s mercies and goodness in my life and my family’s. So that you’ll know that God does exist and he is true, merciful, kind, loving, he provides and his plans always work out.
I have been job hunting since my family & I arrived the UK in Jan, 2021. I got interviews with well known companies. I passed stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 then got the “Unfortunately, we decided to go with another candidate” emails from the companies. I aggressively applied for 400+ jobs and only 7% invited me for interviews. I was getting really frustrated, but I had to keep going while trusting God.
One morning, my wife saw this prayer topic on the rebirth website: “Prayers to get a permanent job this month.” This prayer topic requires you to fast on Thursday. Good thing is it was a Thursday morning when she saw that prayer and the date was 18th February, a day before my interview with a top 4 company that requested to have all 4 stages of the interviews done in one day.
With prayers and continuous communication with God, the interview went smooth like the others.
4 days later, this company made me an offer. One week further, another company I had interviewed with made me another offer. This means two offers from two global firms in the month of February. By the end of the month, I had accepted one of the offers. This means I got a senior role job within 2 months of relocating with my family. Different people were telling me to apply for junior jobs because I just got to the UK and all sorts. But when GOD says he has opened the gates for you to go and make an impact, no one can tell you otherwise.
After this, God made it easy for us to rent our desired property. Unknowing to us, the real estate agents were telling the landlord not to rent his property to us because there were better high profile prospects who wanted the property. Again, against the odds, the landlord accepted our offer to the Glory of God.
When I met the landlord, he told us that the agents were trying to hide my offer behind the other proposals. The landlord told his wife that his heart goes with us and that he didn’t care what the agents were saying. He said God had ministered to him that we are the ones to rent this property not anyone else. And that is how we got a property of our liking in a town we wanted.
These are the major highlights and God is definitely not done with us yet. There are so many things that have happened in the background that God keeps making a way for us.
One thing I have since learnt is that God will keep taking us through various learning curves which are very important for the next big thing in our lives.
It is my prayer that God will keep strengthening the rebirth ministry and SL – Kemi Balogun. Words can’t express the impact you have made on our lives and our family.
