I have come to testify to the goodness of God on this platform.
This testimony is long but I will try and summarise it.
I was on the EU residence permit via my parent. I submitted my documents for Permanent Resident in 2015 and since 2015, I have been denied more than 7 times or so and I have gone to court twice with no favourable answer, I held on to God and also to all the prayers we say on this mountain.
In 2019 I was refused and told no more right of appeal that I have exhausted all my rights. And I would have to start my application afresh, I held on to faith, but sad at the same time because this means I would have to start counting the years again, but then I made a fresh application in 2019 March with faith and continue to pray and believe, then in 2019 I got that application approved and I was given 5 years under the EU rule again, but then I felt in my spirit I have been cheated and shouldn’t have to start this process all over again.
I consulted a lawyer who advised to wait a year and then try and apply for my indefinite leave again under my old application which they have refused.
I held on to faith and how SL encourages us to call forth what we want for our self.
In 2020 I applied for my settled status( indefinite leave) luckily I kept all the documents and all my employment history.
I made the application in August 2020 and 2 weeks after I got a response saying they need more documents, I sent it to them, 2 weeks after I got another email saying they need more documents, I sent this again. Then in Oct again I got another email that they need more documents and history of all my employment I sent this to them again and included a letter, stating to them I have exercise my treaty right under the EU law and due my Indefinite leave since 2015 which was refused. I explained there’s nothing in the law to states I do not qualify.
I was told to call them and the lady advised me they have made a decision and they will only change it in 2023 and I refused and she requested for more documents, which I sent in Nov and then another email came again for for documents which I sent in December.
I didn’t hear anything from then until 27th of Jan 2021 requesting for more documents from 2017 till 2020, I was given two weeks to get the documents to them, I had started gathering all these documents and was going to scan the documents and upload on their site, just 2 days to the deadline, I went to bed on the 9th around 3am woke up and scanned my mail to see if I have any job prospects as I am in between contracts, only for me to see an email, I was scared but I opened it, lo and behold, the same UKBA that requested for documents and said they will not grant and the letter reads your application “has been successful” I screamed and scream like this God.
I want to say thank God for what he had done and what he will contiune to do.
Throughout this journey, since 2015 they were issuing me a letter every 6 months to hand over to any employer to show as my right to work. I had the best paying contracts throughout this period.
I am thankful to God for I know he will perfect the every other things in my life and in the life of my sisters in these platform.
